Our journey into the survivalist space began after starting families of our own and becoming more aware of the alarming statistics surrounding natural disasters. With the increasing frequency of floods and knowing New Zealand’s vulnerability to earthquakes—like the devastating one in Christchurch—we realized the need to be prepared. As we looked into available options on the market, we were unimpressed by the lack of essential items in many survival kits. We believed we could do better by focusing on including more key items in our bags, rather than wasting costs on unnecessary branding or extras. That’s how our survival gear kits were born—practical, reliable, and packed with essentials!

Water filter straw or sterilization tabs?
We chose a water filter straw over tablets for our survival packs because it provides a more immediate and versatile solution, allowing for continuous filtration of water from multiple sources without waiting for chemicals to take effect, making it both faster and more convenient in emergency situations.
Tabs can also run out fast. The straw takes a long time to lose its filtration abilities.
Will I have everything I need to sustain my family for a week?
Yes, our kits are designed to cover all basic needs for at least a week. That time could easily be stretched by rationing the rations. The other items don’t really have a shelf life and should a long time in a disaster.
